After reaching out to five services, Nopal by Taco Block was the only one to call me to discuss details and to invite me to taste the menu options. Brenda, the owner with her husband, rolled out the most incredible tasting food that was flavored with authenticity! The flavor profiles on every single taco was dynamic and the food was not hidden by spices but was so delicious that each selection was an extremely tasty choice. The restaurant is placed in an easy location to get to off of Wadsworth or Sheridan. The sauces were all delectable and not overpowering in hotness. Beef, chicken, fish and vegetarian taco options were all phenomenal, especially paired with grilled pineapple and onions!The atmosphere inside or outside is comfortable, clean and inviting for big parties. “ This was our first time trying Nopal and it was everything we hoped for. When we walked in it was clean and smelled great. The staff immediately greeted us and walked us through their menu making it easy to order. The food looked delicious, smelled delicious and tasted DELICIOUS! Everything was fresh, there were delicious meats and toppings to choose from. The homemade salsas were all great too as were the agua frescas. The staff were so friendly and attentive. The prices were so fair and reasonable. We will absolutely be back and will be bringing friends and family back to try it! ”
“ Really yummy authentic tacos! It’s a true family-run spot, and you can feel the love in everything they do. Brenda (the owner) was awesome—super friendly and welcoming. She gave us a hibiscus and a pineapple drink, which were both fire. Food was solid, the atmosphere was relaxed, and the prices were crazy good—we got a full meal for two for just around 20! The dining area is spacious, and they have a nice outdoor patio if you want to eat outside. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for good tacos and good people! ”
“ This new Wheat Ridge small business has wonderful tacos. The entrance was easy to use and bright. The space has been renovated and looks amazing. I can't wait to see this place packed with diners. I enjoyed my "loaded" al pastor tacos that had cooked nopal cactus inside. The meat was tender and flavorful. It was what I wanted to fulfill my hunger. The service was inviting, helpful, and friendly. I am glad I chose to stop in and enjoy the open, clean, well lit dining room. They even asked about cilantro sensitivity, which showed me that they were mindful and open to accommodating food restrictions. As they get more established they will become popular and look up to the task. 5/13/25 I enjoyed a burger and fries that was served with a smile. I felt like family after receiving top notch customer care! ”
